I loved the ‘unwed and unbred’ line. And I have definitely seen that condescending tone from moms to women who haven’t had kids yet. Nicely done putting us in this uncomfortable situation.

Also loved “unwed and unbred”. I would’ve preferrred a third-person narrative, though, with the tension continued through the dialogue rather than having a first-person reveal summing it up at the end. If you know what I mean. Just from a style point of view, really…
