I certainly hope that you like it. I took it a bit darker than I think you intended. I see a very dark path for your protagonist, and went that way. I also tried to keep your monologue style going, which was fun and different.

I had read John Perkins’ sequel before noticing this one. It’s interesting the way that might change the tone of the original.

Nice work! I love the way the “Smith’s next door” complex is brought to light in this, showing the possible costs of unhealthy neighborly competition.
