Hm. Looks like my first real attempt at suspence is going over well… perhaps I’ll mull over what happens next and keep it going, but I certainly won’t complain if somebody else decides to jump in.

Heehee… I love the word satchel and this is the second story you’ve used it in! I’m not sure I liked the jump into the supernatural with a live chair, but this is certainly going places!

I like the bad expectations to good to horrible outcome arc in this bit.

@Orange, I see what you mean about the chair… maybe I can rework that bit to imply that there’s some sort of mechanism in the chair that our poor narrator triggered, rather than the chair deciding to do the lashing on its own.
And, what can I say? When I discover/rediscover a word I get excited and try to use it more frequently, just so I get used to it. Or something like that. Heehee ^^

Hm. I rephrased it, but I’m not sure I like it. I’ll just let it sit for now, see if it grows on me…
