Wise Man Seeks Similar
Bill was distracted from the rolling of his joint by a strange sight off in the sky.
“Hey fellas,” he said, a look of shock and fret upon his face. “D’you see that?”
“See what?” asked Eddies.
“That! There!” Bill was pointing furiously at the night sky. “That star-like thingy!”
Dave squinted to get a clearer look, and then wondered why people, in order to get a better look of things, decide that diminishing their visual rage is the way to do it. “I don’t see anything special about it,” he said, eventually.
“Maybe it’s a death star!” said Eddie, smiling. When they failed to respond, he pantomimed writing into his hand with a pen and half-mumbled “Note to self: Don’t make pop culture references to things that haven’t happened yet.”
“The star’s huge! It’s massive!” Bill went on, almost panicking. “I find myself oddly drawn to it, like a moth to a magnet!”
Dave folded his arms. “No. We’re staying here.”
“I bet you we’ll find something interesting if we follow it.”
Dave sighed. “I’ll get the camels.”
