I love this. The “almost fractal” comment totally sums it up. But with a slight simplification of the language, it could also make a beautiful illustrated children’s story.

I was going to continue onwards down to the quarks, but I (luckily) ran out of characters… Maybe them microbes do think, but probably not about such trivial matters as having a bug walking over them.
