J & J : 2

Jeremy’s love had lifted her up, made her feel it was possible to find happiness, but not happiness with Jeremy. She adored their friendship and their intimacy, but she needed something different. She didn’t know what it was or where she was going to find it, but she did know Jeremy didn’t have it. She caught a glimpse of the pain he would feel if she tried to explain that. She couldn’t do that to him, it would be better to hold back. They hadn’t been very forth coming in their relationship about such things so it would be easy, which she was immensely grateful for.

“So, is that it?” Jeremy stared out at nothing.

“Don’t say ‘I don’t know’” Jeremy was not talking to the woman he loved. He was negotiating with a battering ram that was swinging towards his chest. “Tell me something you do know.”
