Well THX said it best (as usual). The title is what drew me in, but I partly wished I hadn’t read it because I knew he was a villain—which is sort of the twist because like THX said, it “skirts the edge of making sense.” Very nice, though.

Hmm. I hadn’t considered the title. Maybe I should change it so the fact that he’s a villain is a surprise?

I think “My Creed” would work for that.

I love the narrator’s tone! So cocky and challenging, just daring anyone to come after him (her?). How did the villain become so invincible, anyway?

Really cool. I always love a ficlet devoted to developing a single character.

I enjoy the terse writing and short sentences. It kind of pulls you into this character’s world, bit by bit.

This is still one of my favorite ficlies on ficly. Perhaps my all-time favorite. I love the rhythm and the rhyme, and I wish the author would turn it into a longer piece and present it at a slam poetry reading.
