Coming Out Of The Closet On Accident : PT2
I exited the locker room shocked at what I just witnessed and in a strange way, very happy that I did see it. Not for the sexual aspect of course, but just the fact that it reassured me that gay people can be the popular people or the tough people, or even the sporty people. I was mentally already getting prepared for my date in my head seeing how this would be my first actual date with a guy.

I walked to my door in the thought of if I was going to come out to my parents today or not. I decided it would only be best. At dinner I brought up the topic of homosexuality and slowly I progressed into the line.
“Mom, Dad, I… I’m gay.” I said in a shaky tone.
“That’s great honey!” replied my mother who hugged me.
But my father didn’t seem so pleased as he got up and left the table. Later that night I heard them arguing.
“How could you be happy our son’s a faggot!” asked my father.
“Oh Richard, he’s your son!” replied my mother.
“Good, enjoy living with him, i’m leaving.” said my father.
I was crushed.
