Cute little story. The ‘Boy’ and ‘Best Friend’ as characters was off-putting at first, but in the end it felt like it made it more universal, like you could just slip in your own name that of a childhood friend. In my case, I read as ‘Tim’ and ‘Alex’, cause Alex would have had a water balloon idea like that.
