Violently blue doesn’t work for me. I just don’t associate the color blue with violence in any way. Vividly blue, sure, but that is pretty pedestrian so you probably want something more unique than that. Perhaps virulently blue, gives a shade of the dark side that you brought out in the story, and kinda-sorta useful with the link between the blue sky and the blue sea? Maybe.
