“Well fine, don’t. But when this whole thing gets worse because you two are depressed over something that wasn’t your fault, don’t whine about it to me.” Anne said, in her usual stubborn tone. “I understand that this isn’t exactly what you guys pictured your perfect night to be like but what’s done is done. I understand what happened is bad, but like I said, stop blaming yourselves and focus on Fay getting through this without any problems.”
“I agree,” Darrell said, “Whos fault it is should be the least of our worries right now. Will, I know you care about Fay and you feel terrible, I do too, but she needs you, us, to be there for her through this.”

“I love you too,” I said, “I love all of you guys, I’m so lucky to have a boyfriend, and friends, like you.”
Dr. Hood entered, “You guys have a minute to say goodbye, then she has to go in for surgery.”
“I’m so scared.” I whispered.
