The scenario is unique, but I’m not sure if we’re supposed to be wondering why or how at that moment with a hand on your cheek that you knew you were loved. It seems like you’re selling the idea of something so simple as a hand gesture messages real love, and that’s great, but unless I know why you don’t feel love, or realized at that moment you DO feel loved, the message isn’t entirely received.
Maybe some simple metaphor of how the gesture was received without getting wordy with a backstory. I dunno, it’s a good idea though.
Obviously, I wasn’t saying it should be. I was saying that I want MORE emotion, I offered a suggestion of a contrast of sorts, to enhance the emotions present. I think the emotion is there, but it’s too subtle.
