I’m sorry that happened to you. Presumably someone you have a child with is someone you could trust to be faithful. Sometimes, the presumption is wrong.
I hope that what ever path lies before you, you find more than a touch of happiness there.
A sad story, more so because it’s in this challenge. Had to read this a couple times before it sank in.
The writing is very well-styled, and the impact is increased for it. Every sentence a discrete thought barely connected to the next, but every word necessary for comprehension.
There are obviously longer and more complex versions of this story (all, you’ll be glad to know, with much silver lining to the thundercloud), but I greatly enjoyed the catharsis – and challenge – of reducing it to its barest bones. Thanks RYD for a smart challenge!
