I live on Long Island, I think it’s more grammatically correct to say “We had fought against them on Long Island” as apposed to in Long Island.

At least that’s what they taught us at Yearbook Camp lol.

Well done capturing the events in such a ficly-limiting way. Considering Washington’s retreat strategy, it’s no surprise retreating to the south would be easily assumed.

Great descriptions. The details about the wind and the cold definitely hit home (cold dark months spent in Ottawa) and also felt reminiscent of Ivan Denisovitch (which I may have misspelled).
