Clearly you have never been in serious mortal danger, or you just have no adrenaline in your body. You’ve honestly never experienced it? Although I gotta say, that car crash was faster than I could react, so it definitely doesn’t kick in all the time. It’s probably only a noticeable effect if it’s something that you actually have the time to do anything about, unlike bullets. The moment for this guy probably came before the bullets were fired, when nothing happened but the suspense of pulling the trigger, so he didn’t notice it anyway.

Dark and kind of funny. The inner monologue made me think that maybe he was in fact, experiencing the slow down. Just happens to be after getting shot?
