The Ghost of Lara Brown

The cast and crew of News ON Six were glued to the monitor as events unfolded.
Director, Nina Sanchez walked into the studio, “IS this Leo’s bit?”
“Ya,” answered an intern.
“Jesus,” Nina whispered.
They watched in silence.
“This is Leo Castronopoulis, reporting from Salem Massachusetts,”
The frame was dark, as Leo stood beneath a gnarled tree, a cemetery as his backdrop. Always one for dramatics.
“October 31st is just around the corner, and in Salem, the folks here have a special reason to fear what is coming,
“None will forget the Salem witch trials, and whether you are a believer or not, the cloud that hangs over this little town in the heart of Massachusetts seeps deep with a dark history. Many have… hey!!” the camera jogged; the frame blurred.
“Come on, lady! Can you see ….”
An eerie voice, dry, hollow, cold, was heard, the girl’s face unseen, “The dark, dark room,”
Leo’s face was a mix of annoyance and curiosity, “The what?”
The face of a girl with empty eyes filled the screen, “The dark room,”
