For all you non kurosawa fans in the movie yojimbo and sanjuro everytime toshiro mifune is asked his name he gives that kind of answer. hehehe

I’ll have to go back and watch Yojimbo again, it’s been a while.

have you ever seen hidden fortress i believe it is the best kurosawa mifune combo of all. it comedy ,ixed with action and drama

I own it, I started watching it a while back but I dunno what kept me, but I didn’t finish it. I’ll have to have a Kurosawa mini-marathon, I’ve also got Ran, Throne of Blood (which I did watch), Kagemusha, and of course, Seven Samurai.

wow. two people who just out-geeked even me. I thought I was down with it by only watching Ran, Seven Samurai, and When the Last Sword Is Drawn. but you guys just bowled me over.

Great series so far. I’ve lovin’ it.

Throne of Blood is Kurosawa’s adaptation of Macbeth. Highly recommended. Yojimbo = Fistful of Dollars = Red Harvest = Last Man Standing. I haven’t seen Sanjuro or Last Sword Drawn.

@Robotech_Master, i assumed it was a zip up hoodie, and not a pullover hoodie. Not sure there is a continuity issue there.

@Robotech_Master: She wasn’t “wearing” the hoodie so much as the hood was over her head, but he rest wasn’t zippered … actually, I didn’t even see her arms in the sleeves either. Since her knees tucked up against her, you couldn’t see the decal.

I heard Kurosawa had done a film that was remade into the movie the breakfast club in the 1980’s. Only in his version everyone except the kid who was the peasant committed seppuku because of the teenage angst and pressure to pass the rigorous examinations. I think it was called No Wei, No Hou.
