Very cute, especially the girl’s string of questions. Very easy to picture that.
Loved the mention of rumspringa, very authentic little detail. However, coming off of that, I’m not sure a real Amish mother would so quickly ascent to bringing them anything or associating with him now that he had left the community, whether he came back or not. My understanding (which may be faulty) is that leaving results in shunning, a concerted ignoring of an individual.
