so the first two sentences were good, it was written with a stream of consciousness feel and you established a nice fictional setting with giants and debauchery. Then you get just plain silly, making the piece fall apart completely. yeah I get the juxtaposition, but it’s not that funny, nor amusing, as it must seem in your head. Not that i care one lick about comic book characters, i just find debasing a heroic figure to be crass. And yes, real world “heroes” are not all they are cracked up to be, they have real skeletons in their metaphorical closets. But while you point this out in satire, i think you are offending many in your wake.

This kind of reminds me of some guy who posted a story on Ficlets called “The Little Fag The Couldn’t”.

It sure did get a lot of attention, and was complained about a whole lot. In fact, it ranked right up there in “Most Popular” and “Most Active” for quite some time due to everybody posting complaints about it.

The lesson to be learned from all this is not to feed the troll.

Unfortunately, it looks like a lot of people haven’t learned that lesson. Including, I suppose, me.
