Some funny bits here, though again I’m finding details at odds with my expectations. So, the same guy who a few installments back expertly steered a truck through an impossible obstacle course now can’t even ride a sentient motorcycle? Don’t get me wrong; it’s hilarious. The whole ’I’m a fucking VESPA!’ bit is great comedy, but the justification for it just didn’t jive with what I’ve read so far.
Herein lies the tricky thing about installment writing and co-author-ship, so I’m not saying it torpedoes the story or anything. Just something to keep in mind in writing, character consistency and all that. Nothing kills a story better than actions inconsistent with character thrown into a story for plot convenience.
