Well now that actually did a really good job of continuing the sort of disjointed, half-there style. I wasn’t expecting the religious twist, but it fit fairly well.
The use of sentence fragments fit the whole semi-confused state and stream-of-consciousness thing going on, though maybe just a tad too many (judgment call/matter of taste). Overall, very nicely written and a novel take both on the preceding ficlet and the Biblical meme.

Well, you started with an Altar which is fairly religious don’t cha think and very biblical in its way. :)
