I like the idea, but the Nadsat feels forced. You seem to ease into it as you go, though, so that the ending flows quite a bit better than the beginning.
Hehe yeah I was using a nadsat glossary and didn’t really have much of an idea for this other than “Oooo Zombie Droogs!” It’s been a good while since I’ve read Clockwork. Once I found a direction though, it does seem to flow a bit better.
I will say that a benefit of easing into the nadsat is that it gives the reader time to realize “Oh, okay, you’re putting zombies in A Clockwork Orange.”
That was my issue. I had to look back at the title. XD
Other than that (which was really me more than you) it was great!
Oh melia my wife was a HUGEFAN of clockwork and would just tALK IN THATMADE UP LANGUAGEEVERYTIMESHEWASEVENMORETHAN A LITTLEDRUNK. sO THISGAVE ME GREATPLEASUREREADING IT, Jesi and Burgess would have been more than proud awesome job.
Spot on rendition. I could so easily hear Malcolm McDowell in my head. Poor invisibility hasn’t seen the show. Not know said author’s age, I hesitate to recommend watching it. Great mash up, I must say.
