Radical duck. Needs a bit of polishing. In the first paragraph he comes out of the water twice(or at least his feet do.)
3rd and 4th sentences are obscure.
(He must have been an underwater encyclopaedia seller g2.)

When first seen in the opening sequence of MPFC a long haired and bearded man, wearing a badly torn business suit exits a body of water, goes to the shore and colapses. The first sentence is when his head come above water. Whe the water is at about knee level you can move more quickly by bringing your legs above the water. That may be the two references to getting out of the water.

He always reminded me of someone trapped for a long time on a deserted island who had to swim back to civilization. I don’t know about encyclopedia salesman.
