Ficly

Jealousy is uglier than you would think...

She sat in the corner of the room, glowering at the boy fifteen feet from her, but not paying any attention to her. The green creature sitting next to her glowered too, but in a sarcastic way, since it was grinning. It was making fun of her, which made her even angrier.

He’s ignoring me, talking with her… she thought angrily. He’s supposed to be MY friend. What if I just TOLD him I’ve been in love with him for the past year? She sighed. It’s useless. The green monster pulled at her arm and pointed to the boy.

“Look,” it growled. “All he cares about is her.”

She took a deep breath, her face set into what seemed to be an almost perpetual scowl. Looking at the monster, she nodded. “You’re right.” With that, she got up and left the room, the small green creature following closely behind her.

He watched her leave, and he almost pitied her. He could tell she was upset, but he was oblivious as to what, until he saw her Envy. He frowned and shook his head and continued his conversation.
