Patrolling the Park

Shady Rest Mobile Home Park was the largest in the state. It covered countless acres and was home to over a thousand single-wide trailers. The mobile homes were often only a few feet apart, giving the park the look of a shanty town.

In this shanty town, methamphetamine was being cooked and distributed. Dealers ran tiny little kingdoms of fear and violence. Users engaged in thievery, prostitution, robbery, and outright murder to feed their habits. Explosions from the fatal mistakes made by bathtub chemists resulted in fires that killed innocent people. Innocent people like the hillbilly Batman’s parents.

He rolled along the gravel roads, patrolling the park, in his Chevy. A winning lottery ticket, too many comic books, and an incinerated set of parents spurred him to this vigilante life. The Dark Hillbilly had been somewhat successful. Labs were closed, dealers jailed, and users scared straight.

He had even uncovered the existence of some mythical ringleader who went by the online handle of “Krulltar”.
