Interesting… I had to read this story a few times, then think about it for a while longer… Its almost comical, actually, that this commander of high status (we assume) was so ill informed. And the twist, though forewarned in the title, was very intriguing. Well written and thought provoking!

haha, that was amusing. It’s funny on a couple of levels, not only the whole twist that it’s not as barbaric as they were imagining but also cause it sort of poses the question of where we draw the line. It’s funny here cause we don’t care that they’re having protista duel. Cock fighting is bad though, so where between protista and cocks do we draw that line? Caterpillars? Hamsters? Chihuahuas?
