I could tell that he hadn’t had a chance to talk to someone who wanted to listen for quite some time. I brought him around to the day of the murder.

“I was sweeping the sidewalk when I heard a big noise. I fell to the ground, for that is what you are to do. Then a few seconds later I heard it again. Big bang. Then I saw two men on a motor cycle, one behind the other drive off. Both were wearing the helmets that covers the face. So I could not see their faces. I stepped into the street and I saw the three men dragging the body to the other side of the road. His face and his hands were gone. I saw one man squat next to the body and then he walked away. The other two men stayed and talked to the police.”
