Several days after the attack, the United States held a Moment of Silence. A moment of silence to commemerate those who lost their lives. Citizens all over the country stood in silence, an eerie stillness set over everyone and everything.

Firefighters, policemen and women, and EMT’s along with everyday men and women stood in the destruction that once was.

The ashes turned the living into the dead in their silent reverence. The snow like discharge freezing in the air. The flames that had yet to be extinguished stilled. Animals for once were immobile. Time stopped for one moment in time. For one moment of silence.
