Blank Space [a poem]

Avatar Author: gĀ²LaPianistaIrlandesa Read Bio

Blank space oh blank space
Oh, how I loathe thee.
So full of potential
And yet you scare me.

I’m flailing f’r’ideas,
I just want to write!
Some help you’re being,
I give you my spite.

Blank space, oh blank space,
Why must you be mean?
You mock me and taunt me
With your squarness and clean.

Oh, look! I just wrote
A diminutive poem
About you, oh blank space,
Who’s blank no mo’me

Not familiar with that last one, but otherwise a fun and rather enticing little ditty to read. And who doesn’t know about that blank space ‘curse’ when we are looking to write something…

mo’me=my apparently failed attempt to fudge the word “more” to rhyme with “poem.” I do that quite a bit, fudge words. If they don’t rhyme, I make them rhyme. ^^

Haha. this made me giggle. Empathetically, of course. Am I the only one who understood mo’me? I do the same thing.
