Venus bore two children, a boy and a girl. The boy she named Jehovah. The girl she named Lucille.

Mercury ignored his progeny, and Venus was overburdened with the responsibilities of being a goddess, so Jehovah and Lucille were oft left to raise themselves.

Jehovah grew strong and proud, yet quite jealous. He always desired the spotlight, and became angry when it was focused on another.

Lucille was soft-hearted and kind, eager to aid others (especially her brother) in their endeavors.

As they grew into godhood, and began their work with Mankind, Jehovah’s pride and jealousy prompted him to focus his efforts entirely on gaining human followers. Lucille, attempting to help him, inadvertently led his first two followers away from his strict path. Therefore, Jehovah imprisoned his sister, that she would no longer meddle in his work.

As his elders grew old and weak, he gained their followers, until the vast majority of Man bowed to his every command. But still, his sister’s woeful songs were heard by some…
