Well. This is a completely different direction than what I had in mind. I’m thinking I’ll likely either sequel myself or wait until SSC sequels. And don’t worry about deleting yours or anything. That’s the beauty of Ficly, is that you can have multiple sequels to the same story. Yours is not a bad addition. It’s just not driving toward the same big reveal I’ve been slowly working on over the last few weeks.

That said, I can definitely see the influence of Bungie on this segment, and it would be interesting to explore this spin on things.

Yeah I was afraid of that. I guess I jus don’t have the same grasp on sci-fi as you guys. I guess I’ll stick to reading it instead :)

I wouldn’t say that. I think more than anything it comes down to the fact that SSC and I share a similar approach to science fiction, so we’ve been able to play off each other in complementary ways during this series. What I’m trying to say is that I really don’t want to discourage you from writing sci-fi, and I’m not necessarily opposed to running down this particular branch you’ve created. I do want to finish the branch we’ve been working on first, though, before I come back and take a second look at this one. Keep writing, to be sure! :)
