As I looked in her eyes, I heard an sudden overwhelming sound. Almost like a siren screaming, as it pierced our ears. Sandra jumped from the noise of the wailing siren.
“What the hell?!” I said loudly. “What’s that noise?” Sandra said, sounding muffled. Suddenly police officers appeared at the train station, rushing out of their police cars like blood rushing from out a wound.
“Excuse me folks, we would like all of you to get on the train now. There’s an emergency that needs to be checked out now. Those who are late for the train, well that’s too bad, but you have to get on now!” He said urgently.
“But sir” Sandra continued “I don’t have to-”
“Ma’am we can’t allow you to go now, please get on the train.” He said.
I took this opportunity and pulled Sandra on the train with me. “James, what are you doing?!” She exclaimed as she pounded on my arm.
The reality was, I was being selfish. I wanted Sandra to come with with me. Now that I had an chance to make her come with me, I would take full advantage of it.
