I take a deep breath and open the car door. My mom is already walking up the front steps and I run slightly to catch her. She walks through the throng of kids towards the main office. Everyone is looking at me. I hate the feeling I’m getting. I don’t like being the center of attention, but by being the new girl, it’s inevitable.
We get to the main office and have our meeting with the principal to get my new scheduale. When everything is all settled, it is third period. My mom kisses me goodbye and the principal leads me to my class.
He opens the door and calls the teacher out to introduce me to her first. After suffering through introducing myself, and sitting through the hour lost and confused, the bell rings. I gather my stuff and hurry to the door, looking to see where I have to go next.
While I wasn’t paying attention I ran right into a couple making out in the hall. I looked up to apoligize but my throat dried up.
“Baby?!” The boy cried, gaping at me as well.
