My sins are all my own.
I seek no absolution.
The light of truth to me was shown
I’ll remove this human pollution.

Forgiveness cannot be granted
nor will it be requested
by those who are casket-planted
or by those with conscience rested.

I have set a chain reaction
to clear the Gaian disease
set forth evolutionary redaction
removing life’s traces with ease.

Seven billion souls released
A massive Geno/suicide.
Gaia herself will be at peace
I bear no regrets, only pride.

  1. Avatar Mostly Harmless

The cold compunction of this is expertly and precisely written… It frustrates me, almost – I want to scream at whoever’s speaking, about the beauty in the frailty of the human condition, the art, the science, the wonder!

Works well both in encouraging the reader to question the point of humanity, and the hollow view that the Earth would survive quite adequately without us – MH :)

  2. Avatar Marli

I like the reality of the first paragraph.
It comes across as a matter of fact whereas in another context it may be cold. Well executed.

  3. Avatar ItsMeChristina

The wording of this is very cold…it suits the piece well.
