Three Hundred

“What do you want me to do Kayla? I can’t make it magically disappear.”

“I just need some help with getting some, uh, money. About three-hundred dollars to be exact.” Kayla stated.

“Wait.. why do you only need three… oh my gosh. Are you thinking about doing, what I think you’re thinking about doing?” She couldn’t.

“Beeks, my family can not find out about this. You know my dad. He would kill me. Literally… and my mom… she’s already told me that if I end up pregnant, not to come home. This is my only option.” Kayla had already made her decision.

“Nothing I say is going to change your mind?” I don’t know how much more shock I can take.

“No, I don’t think so. I know what I have to do.” Kayla was trying her best to be confident.

“Alright… I’ll help you earn the money.” What was I getting myself into?

“Thanks Beeks. You have no idea how amazing it feels to just have one: person on your side.” You could almost hear the smile in her voice.

“Kayla, wait, have you told Luke yet?”
