I know I said
I wanted him out of your life and
that he was bad for you
but this one is a million times worse
this one will hurt you
and force you to do things you’ve only ever wanted to do to demean yourself
if your words to me were untrue
then at least take back what you said
and I’ll do the same
and you can go back to the cowardly heart within the thunderstorm
and be hurt still
but at least not physically
