There’s something lovely in the way
The snow is coming down today
I wish you could be here with me
To see, to see.
The flakes descend, soundless and slow
As if they wanted me to know
There’s time for all things yet to do
For me and you.
The simple gentleness, without hurry
Makes my rushed life seem quite the flurry!
Anxiety and stress are waste:
They’ll be replaced.
For now there’s peace, and, flakes on tongue,
I suddenly feel like I’m young
The endless sky’s above; I’m under
I’ll live and wonder.
