In-sec-ur-i-ty

When you know, you know, the feeling of it dropping…
It drops down, down, like you’re in a elevator that’s ready to hit the ground.
No belly in there, just empty space
For somebody to run around, or scream and shout and let it bounce
off the walls.
I lose my voice and can’t think.
I cannot justify the… anger? No, not anger.
In-sec-ur-I-ty
You know, you know, how it makes you feel like nothing?
How it makes you feel like you’ve shown yourself?
Naked and breathing and human and rejected.
That moment, before you find clothes, after they’ve said no,
It hurts and stirs and melts all those insides.
They melt down, down, to the bottom of that dirty well—
The one you call your body.
In-sec-ur-I-ty will tear your body up.
Your mind, and then a slash to the spine and a slash to the rine (from the inside)
And you know, you know what?
It’ll all be over soon.
And you know, you know what?
You better get used to the down, down feeling,
Because these wounds won’t start healing
Until you find the One.
You know, you know.
