This is a story I published on here a little over three years ago, and I found it again going back and decided to rework it and change parts of it. Trying to ease myself back into this writing business!

Interesting way of telling the story. Very original.

I wasn’t sure what the relevance of cheating on a test was to the rest of the piece. Unless it was to introduce the idea of cheating so that when the boy was mentioned we would be reminded of the concept?

Well that went from bad to worse. Nicely done though, showing that slow slide from one lie to the next to abject disaster. Sad but tragically realistic.

That ending caught me by surprise. How horrific. And cleverly structured. A very skillful bit of writing.
