Dumped on the first day of school, this was a first. Funny thing is, it didn’t even hurt. He left me but it was like he’d already been gone for weeks.
“Hey,” A deep voice said. “Mind if I sit here?”
“No,” I sighed, “I don’t mind.”
“I’m Devon.” He smiled.
“Ka-lie-la.” I responded. “That’s K-A-L-Y-L-A. But most people just call me Chaos.”
“Really?” Devon looked curious. “Why’s that?”
“Hang around me long enough, and you’ll see why.” I poked my fork around unenthusiastically.
“Is that an invitation?” He raised an eyebrow.
I shrugged, smiling a little. “If you want it to be.”
“Well then,” He smiled at me. “Meet me outside after school and we can hang out.”
“Ok then.” I grinned, delighted for the company.
“Don’t you forget about me.” He teased, as he walked away.
I won’t if you don’t…
