Eye of The Dancer: Keep Your Eyes on The Prize

Avatar Author: Blossom Ruoquen (LoA) Ficlets is back from the dead. Or shall I say Ficly..? Yes! Where there's a will, there's a way..apparantly (or so I was told as a child *stands brokenly behind McDonalds cashier*) More for my Bio later :) Too busy at ... Read Bio

Have you ever wanted something with your whole heart?
Have you ever lived for something with your whole soul?
Have you ever focused on it with your whole mind?
Have you ever striven for something with your whole strength?
Have you ever loved God?
Many try to be ‘spiritual’ while doing as little as possible. They slack off where they can, find loopholes where they’re not, and interpret what they can’t.
What are you accomplishing?
Picture yourself on a stage: When you dance, the fatigue and the burning are like a badge of honor. When you look around you at those not dancing full-out, or those taking breaks because they’ve tired out, do you feel envious?
Don’t cheat yourself – Keep your eyes on your prize. Keep panting on to The End, when you can feel that satisfaction: The dance is over.
You’ve danced your heart out. Your bruises are proof of your dedication; your sweat, of your determination; and your tears, of your desire.
All you want is one thing.
Keep your eye simple – And keep your eyes on the prize.

This is really good for those who may have tried to compromise some of their worship because they think it’s “unnecessary”. Wonderfully done. <3

This one was a little unsettling to me, but mainly just because I don’t think I have ever wanted or pursued something this vigorously. I mean, I’ve done stuff, but it didn’t take that kind of all-out effort. Hmm, suppose I’ll have to think on it a bit.
