I needed him there

I didn’t know where I was, when I blinked my eyes open and looked over I saw my mom and dad talking to someone. She was holding a tissue in her hand and was crying like crazy. I realised it was a doctor and I was in the hospital. My dad looked over.
“She’s awake!” He sighed with relief.
All three of them practically ran over. My mom grabbed my hand and kissed it, sniffing and sobbing.
The doctor spoke. “Are you numb?”
“Mhm.” I said, " No, I feel some sort of pressure."
“Thats normal,” He said, checking an IV, then a paper that came out of a machine. “I’m Dr. Hood by the way, I’m just going to tell you what we’re going to do here.”
My mom squeezed my hand.
“We are going to have to perform a second surgery to stop some internal bleeding, very soon.”
“Second surgery?” I asked.
“Yes while you were asleep we managed to successfully remove the bullet, it only scraped one organ, and thats what we’re going to have to patch up.”
“Ok.” My dad said, putting his arm around my mom.
“Where’s Will?” I needed him there.
