Septembers will never be the same

I can’t tell you how to get through today.
I can’t promise you tomorrow will be any better.
I’ve never been where you are.
But I know people that have been there.
It’s not that the pain ever really goes away,
but it is like a gash in the earth
and each day puts a thin layer of dust and soil down.
Eventually, the path that was once impassable,
becomes simply difficult,
and from difficult to do-able.

A friend of mine, who lost her husband once told me
“Life sucks, then you go on living.”

Please remember, there are people that care,
People that are willing to reach out to you.
We can’t carry your load, but we can walk with you.
