So they continued.

“She doesn’t know anything about this, about us, and you—”
“Yes, I do!”
“You don’t even know what I was about to say!”
“So, I guessed! And I guessed right, didn’t I?”
“No, you didn’t, you idiot!”

I stepped into the water, shedding clothes faster than you could blink. In seconds I was underwater, but still listening, their voices muffled now.

“Dude, you’re crazy, if you wanna tell her now-”
“I can have you admitted to this school right now, young man, if you don’t watch what you say.”
Three voices exclaimed at the same time,
“THIS ISN’T A SCHOOL!”

“Idiot.”
