He turned to leave when she linked his left pinky with her right one. She pulled it up and bit his finger, causing blood to emit from the small hole. It hurt but his pain was set aside with ease when the murmur of wings batting in the dark echoed. A myriad of things dived hungrily down at them as they ran out, one face plastered with horror, the other with inexplicable delight.
