So. As a kid I was a huge fan of choose-your-own adventure books. Especially R.L. Stine’s Give Yourself Goosebumps series.

So, what I’ve come up with is…

Write a ficly. Leave it open ended. And then, have two (or more) choices for the reader to take. And with each choice, have a sequel for each. Have at least three tiers (7 Ficlys and 4 endings),or at most five. (That’s 31 Ficlys, and 16 endings, people!)

As you can see, this will grow quite literally exponentially. Since it’s such a large task, you can do it with a friend or two, though obviously you all cannot be picked as winner. You have two months.

It might be helpful to have a flow chart of some sort to keep track of your story. Just a suggestion.

Entries will be judged on story, style, choices, and diversity of endings, among other things.
