Here is a challenge which you can all bring your best expository and prosaic form. The future is a wonderful and exciting place to write about. In this challenge, I have written a kicking off point in the first segment. Write sequels to it, each of you with your own, for as far as you want to take it. Read the segment, THINK about how you want to extend that world and make it your own.

Rules:

No adding to anyone else sequels. Let them end if the original author does.
Move through the concept in any fashion you wish, you can even take over my initial character – The President!

Judging

The threads will be judged on the following criteria

Grammar – NO JUST KIDDING – No seriously, use good grammar please
Characterization – who is the main character in your segments?
Impact on the setting – what would happen to the world as we know it if this change took place.
Movement – does your sequel advance the plot?
