Recently, a story – Splinters by someday_93, really got me thinking about music, and my relationship with my instrument.

From the comments posted on that story, which I recommend for everybody to go and read because it’s a cracking read (http://ficly.com/stories/12661) , it appears that there are other Ficly users who started thinking about this also.

So, I’d like to read some stories about musical instruments. It can be the instruments themselves, the music they make, their players, the bond between an instrument and it’s owner – anything, as long as the instrument is reasonably important to the story.

If I don’t read at least one entry with a piano, I will cry, but I promise to judge impartially. Go!
