'Law Is Reason, Free From Passion'
Well isn’t that a high-brow challenge title. Aristotle to be precise, and I think it’s suitably thought-provoking.
Anyhoo.
Whether it be a gripping courtroom drama or a sorrowful miscarriage of justice, fiction with it’s roots in law and society can be very effective, and now that I think about it, other than detective stories I haven’t seen a lot here on Ficly…
So with an aim to bringing yet another genre to the world of micro-fiction, I challenge you to write something law-based. Take the Aristotle quote as inspiration if you like – agree or disagree with it. Tell us about an impassioned lawyer, or a corrupt policeman, a comedic judge or an innocent inmate – anything, just run with it.
Have a fortnight because I think this is a little tricky.
Push boundaries, break new ground – extend the wingspan of your creative spirit! Go!
