Currently I am doing an AS Level in English Literature, and for our coursework we have to write a ‘re-creative’ piece based on one novel, and I chose Sons & Lovers. I wrote a short story based on a love triangle in adapted 3rd person narrative, and it made me think of what a wonderful challenge that is.

So here it is. Take a novel, significant or insignificant, and re-create it in a short story, or a series of short stories. It doesn’t even have to be a novel, as long as it reflects the plotline or narrative context and the genre of your chosen piece.
Put the title of the thing you’re re-creating as a tag.

This challenge may not be simple or easy, but I think it’s a more challenging challenge. :)
